Wedding Stuff

Okay so future hubby thinks it is too early to start planning the wedding as the wedding isn't till next year.  He fails to realize that weddings are a big thing and takes time to plan.  Every those time line sheets start at 12 months. Can it be done in less than 12 months? Of course it can and quite a few of our stuff will be done last minute... BUT that does not mean I don't want to jump on the wedding train and start planning and figuring stuff out.  He has given me his opinions on stuff and we've decided on a couple of other things, but he isn't researching or really coming up on ideas on his own.  He also never talks about it unless I bring it up.  I am sure when it gets closer to the wedding, he will participate more.  BUT by then, a lot of stuff will already be covered and taken care of.

Here is a list of the items I have "dipped" into already

1. My wedding dress. I already found the wedding dress that I want online.  I just have to make sure that it will look right on me, but I do have 3 total so as long as one looks good on me then its all okay.
2. My wedding colors are picked out  red, white and black
3. We want our over all feel/look to be simple and elegant
4. I have two venues in mind leaning more towards one than the other though.
5. Our budget has been set
6. Guest list is ALMOST done
7. Still looking for my Bridal Party dresses, but have about 4-5 dresses picked out
8. Pretty much have how we want our cake to look, just need to pick out the flavor(s)
9. We are going for an outdoor ceremony and an inside reception
10. I have been researching other vendors such as photographer, DJ, caterer ideas
11. We have decided on the wedding favors
12. I have my bridal party picked and asked/accepted.
13. Have our wedding site up and running
14. I have our wedding flowers picked out
15. Have decided on what our table linen is going to be
16. Centerpieces are narrowed down to about 5 choices
17. I have found someone to marry us.  The best part is she is FREE! woohoo =)

There may be more, but I am drawing a blank in my mind.  I do know that I have researched a lot of stuff and have taken notes as well as bookmarked a lot of helpful sites, local vendors, ideas, supply sites, etc.

I am loving the fact that I am a head of the game and not just waiting till last minute to do everything.  I have also bought some stuff to use as well already and will continue to pick stuff up here and there.  Well, guess that's it. Just wanted to get my first blog done and out there so everyone can see where I am at.
